A two-photon fluorescent probe for near-membrane calcium ions in live cells and tissues.
A two-photon fluorescent probe (ACaL) is reported that can be excited by 780 nm fs pulses, shows high photostability and negligible toxicity, and can visualize near-membrane Ca2+ in live cells and deep inside live tissues by two-photon microscopy.
متن کاملA two-photon ratiometric fluorescence probe for Cupric Ions in Live Cells and Tissues
Development of sensitive and selective probes for cupric ions (Cu(2+)) at cell and tissue level is a challenging work for progress in understanding the biological effects of Cu(2+). Here, we report a ratiometric two-photon probe for Cu(2+) based on the organic-inorganic hybrids of graphene quantum dots (GQDs) and Nile Blue dye. Meanwhile, Cu-free derivative of copper-zinc superoxide dismutase (...
متن کاملA Two-Photon Fluorescent Probe for Lysosomal Thiols in Live Cells and Tissues
Lysosome-specific fluorescent probes are exclusive to elucidate the functions of lysosomal thiols. Moreover, two-photon microscopy offers advantages of less phototoxicity, better three dimensional spatial localization, deeper penetration depth and lower self-absorption. However, such fluorescent probes for thiols are still rare. In this work, an efficient two-photon fluorophore 1,8-naphthalimid...
متن کاملA two-photon fluorescent probe for lysosomal zinc ions.
The selective detection of zinc ions in lysosomes over that in cytosol is achieved with a fluorescent probe, which enabled the fluorescence imaging of endogenous zinc ions in lysosomes of NIH 3T3 cells as well as mouse hippocampal tissues by two-photon microscopy under excitation at 900 nm.
متن کاملA two-photon fluorescent probe for ratiometric imaging of endogenous hypochlorous acid in live cells and tissues.
A fluorescent probe that enables ratiometric imaging of endogenous hypochlorous acid (HOCl) in cells and tissues by two-photon microscopy is developed based on a red-emitting acetyl-benzocoumarin (AcBC) dye. An oxathiolane group in the probe reacts with HOCl to generate the AcBC dye, which involves a ratiometric fluorescence change only toward HOCl along with high sensitivity.
